Monday, November 2, 2009 I didn't do a lot of things I'd planned on doing to this page as far as detailing goes, but I'm glad I didn't because I am perfectly happy with the way it turned out. One thing I hadn't quite worked out yet was the exact floor plan of Rose's house, but that wasn't a huge hindrance since I haven't drawn a whole lot of the inside of the house at this point, and that which I did wasn't particularly detailed anyway. Aesthetically, the house is modeled after my own, but it is quite a lot bigger and somewhat fancier. And plus a couple swimming pools. I had planned on flagging this as NSFW from the first preliminary sketches, but I didn't realize that I'd have to make the characters so small in order to show the grandiosity of the pool. It really wouldn't have been all that impressive otherwise. There's still a thing or two slightly off about the perspective in this picture, but I'm not going to fix them. I believe there is a point at which one has to stop striving for perfection and move on to the next project, and I hit that point quite some time before the final version of this comic came about. I suppose I'm getting better with that, really. Oh, and update schedule? Forget it. With what I have going on in my life it's unthinkable – at least until I get more settled into this whole Illustrator thing again. Maybe at some point in the future, but not now. There's no point in trying what I know I won't achieve and what isn't really all that important anyway. Cheers!
